Father’s Day Gift Guide 2018

It’s Father’s Day soon, so get online and get the big man something, but what?

Shopping for Dads is easy, a new razor, pair of socks and some smelly stuff and it’s job done. The only problem is that there are so many male grooming products to choose from it’s anyone’s guess which are the best for the old boy.

Here, I’m a Dad I’ll give you hand. These are some of the products I’ve been sent to have a look at and here’s what I think about them, for full product details click the linked titles. There’s surely something here for your old man too…

Zippo.co.uk | Leather Credit Card Holder

Like many other men out there I’ve the same wallet for as long as I can remember but It’s got to the point where it’s coming apart at the seam. Plus, with coins and notes slowly disappearing in favor of contactless and electric payments, it seems fitting that I would switch to a card holder. This one from Zippo is seriously smart and made from 100% genuine leather. It’s cool because I don’t even have to take my card out of the holder to pay.

Buff Wear | Lifestyle Headwear

I mentioned these in my Mother’s Day Gift Guide earlier in the year and I just had to mention them again. There an awesome piece of clothing. Although, I tend to stay away from hats. They just don’t suit me no matter how many I try on but with these ones however, they fit so well I actually enjoy wearing them. Not so much at the moment with the warmer weather setting in but definitely when we have a cold snap.

For some reason, our dogs only ever want to go out when it’s icy cold so these amazing bobble hats from Buff Wear make that experience just a little bit better. Did I mention they’re thermal too?

Dadminstore.com | Dadmin T-shirt and Keyring

I first discovered Dadmin Store though their Instagram page and I thought straight away that their T-shirt designs where seriously cool. They’ve got range of products based around a cheeky word that sums up ‘those jobs’ that dads do. Dadmin!

Dadmin is described as jobs a dad would do before he can relax. Whether that be mowing the grass, cashing the car or giving somebody a lift somewhere.

Giftpup.com | Notebook and Keyring

By far my two most favourite items out of the whole guide. Giftpup.com have some of the best personalised gifts out there. They’re excellent quality, they look cool and they are a gift that say you’ve gone to extra mile to make Father’s Day the best it can be. I would highly recommend this website.

NEW Wilkinson Sword | Hydro 5 Sense

I love Wilkinson Sword as a brand and this one is a perfect gift for the grooming guru dads who like to keep themselves trim. I’ve tried many different razors over the past few months and this one is definitely one of my favorites.

Crabtree & Evelyn

One of my favourite brands. I have used their range of hand creams before, they are amazing. I have always had an issue with dry skin on my hands and it’s always helped.

Based on past experience I have eager to try some of their other products around male grooming. There West Indian Lime Hair and Body Wash is so refreshing to use. After a long day of chasing a toddler and preschooler around, it’s nice to have a warm shower and come out feeling a little more human. This Body Wash goes a long way to help that feeling.

Combined that with the Moroccan Myrrh Shave Cream, it seriously makes you feel just a little bit better. As you’ll discover further down, I’ve had the opportunity to test out some pretty awesome razor so I really got the use this stuff, a lot!

Razors by Dorco | Subscription Box

In what is already a very crowded market, Dorco Razors have launched their own bespoke, tailored subscription razor package and they have really started to muscle in on the action. I have tried and tested many different subscription packages over the last couple of months and this one if definitely towards the top of the list.

Blue Coffee Box | Subscription

I’m a fan of coffee subscription services, I think they really work both for the roaster and for the customer. Each month they send out very nicely packed box of three 155g bags of different coffee, with very informative info cards so you know everything about the coffee you’re tasting. If you want coffee from lots of different roasters, from different origins and a service that will help to broaden your horizons by allowing you to taste a wider variety of coffees, then Blue Coffee Box is just what you need.

Plus, for all you lovely people reading this, I have a discount code for you. Please use the code DTV5 for £5 off anything on their website.

Delvfire Pulse | Fitness Watch

I’ve developed a bit of a ‘dad bod’ over the pas few months and with summer on the way it’s the perfect time to go something about it. Isn’t it funny how we’re more aware of how we look and feel in the Spring and Summer months? So, when I got the chance to try this Delvfire Pulse Fitness watch it couldn’t have come at a better time. It’s does everything that the better known brands of fitness watches do just without the extra price tag. Do you have a man in your life that is after a fitness aid but doesn’t want to break the bank? If so, this is the watch for you.

Moosehead | Styling Products

I must say I am mightily impressed with this brand. The hair holds it style sufficiently to last all day, looking natural and without an overly glossy look. It washes off easily from your hands after application, and from your hair when next washed. It probably doesn’t have the strength of hold for a sporty weekend or evening clubbing, but for daily use and to look smart and sexy at work, it’s perfect

Gold | Aftershave Splash On

I’ll be honest I’ve never used a aftershave splash on before receiving this Yardley Gold aftershave splash on to try and I’m not sure I’m going to after this either. However, I can understand and appreciate those guys that do before do does finish off your shave nicely, making you feel all refreshed after shaving off the fluff.

Willow & Stone | Wine Range

The very British named Willow & Stone range of wines is a perfect Summery gift for Father’s Day. We enjoyed ours with a BBQ over the weekend. I’m not normally a wine drinker and if I do it tends to be red. However, the white and Rose in this range has definitely converting me to drink something different. Currently available at Co-op and B&M

Hallmark Cards | With Itty bittys

NIVEA MEN | Body Shaving Anti-Irritation

And that’s that! Inevitably most of us will resort to default and go for the grooming products etc this year for our dads, at least you know which ones are the top picks… According to me, but I am a Dad so there’s no better judge really.

There’s no excuses now, there’s plenty to go at here. Let me know what you decide and get me tagged in your Father’s Day gift photos.

  1. I’m very intrigued by this razor subscription phenomena. Not sure I get it though.

Is it like Sainsbury online shopping… Except without the rest of the shopping or is there a USP I’m missing?
